Treasurer Wiessmann swears in Deputy State Treasurers

HARRISBURG (August 1, 2007) – Treasurer Robin L. Wiessmann in a ceremony today, swore in her six Deputy State Treasurers solidifying her top advisory team.

“The people that I stand with today share my commitment to fiduciary responsibilities and good governance,” Wiessmann said.  “I am delighted to hold this swearing-in ceremony for my Deputy State Treasurers as a recognition of their dedicated work on behalf of Treasury.”

“Treasury plays such a vital role in state government and I know they will all continue to execute their duties with the highest level of professionalism and commitment to public service.”

Wiessmann administered the oath of office to her six Deputies using a Bible from the Pennsylvania State Archives.  The Deputies’ families and all of Treasury’s Bureau Directors attended the ceremony, which was held in Harrisburg.
